Kishi Bashi, having learned violin through the Suzuki method, rose from child prodigy to indie rock artist after studying engineering at Cornell. Initially, he was involved with jazz violin, but a shift occurred when he rediscovered his passion for music, leading him to Berklee School of Music for film scoring. After forming the band Jupiter One, he found success by incorporating singing into his performances. In 2010, he launched his solo career under the name Kishi Bashi, navigating the challenges of creativity and self-judgment as an artist.
