Gavin Newsom slams red state leaders on march to Capitol, says they hijack the word 'freedom'

On the second anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Gavin Newsom triumphantly marched toward California's statehouse and delivered an inaugural speech that spoke personally to the freedoms offered by California and its resistance to forces that "want to take the nation backward."
