Gas prices plummet in California over past three months

Gas prices in California have decreased by 78 cents per gallon since mid-April due to falling oil refinery costs and the new state price gouging law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Lower gas prices in California have contributed to an increase in record travel during Independence Day and Memorial Day weekends, with the highest number of travelers seen in almost 20 years, according to AAA spokesperson John Treanor.
