Suresh then allegedly stood up, smoked a cigarette and gave himself up to police."

Varun Suresh, 29, is charged with the murder of 71-year-old David Brimmer after Brimmer was found with multiple stab wounds near the Fremont Hills. A judge granted an extension for Suresh to enter a plea after his attorney cited significant mental health issues. Suresh is expected back in court on Dec. 17. Authorities allege Suresh used the state Megan's Law database to identify Brimmer, posed as a door-to-door accountant to lure him, chased and attacked him across homes, and fatally stabbed him. After surrendering, Suresh allegedly admitted planning the killing and made statements about targeting sex offenders.
