Former Fox Sports anchor Julie Stewart-Binks has filed a lawsuit accusing FS1 executive producer Charlie Dixon of sexual assault in 2016. After an alleged incident where Dixon forcefully attempted to kiss Stewart-Binks, she claims her contract was not renewed, impacting her career. Following the assault, Stewart-Binks reported the incident during an HR investigation involving another executive. The lawsuit contends that Fox Sports failed to act against Dixon, allowing him to remain in his role. In response, Fox highlighted that they had conducted a previous investigation into the matter.
The lawsuit alleges that FS1 executive producer Charlie Dixon held Stewart-Binks against a wall and forcefully pressed his body against hers, attempting to assault her.
The suit states that instead of addressing the complaint, Fox Sports chose not to investigate Dixon's actions and allowed a sexual predator to remain in his position.
Following the incident, Stewart-Binks' contract was not renewed, and she reported the assault to HR as part of another investigation into a different executive.
Fox Sports stated that these allegations are from eight years ago and that they had promptly investigated at the time, but the details were not disclosed.
