Jason Rodgers, 54, from Discovery Bay, died in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday night on Vasco Road at the Camino Diablo intersection in Brentwood. While driving north on Vasco Road, Rodgers lost control and struck a traffic pole on the southeast corner of the intersection. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol has not determined the cause of the accident and continues investigating. Toxicology tests, which typically require six weeks to complete, are pending to help determine contributing factors to the crash.
