David Guadelupe Calderon sentenced to life without parole plus 27 years for the 2012 fatal shooting of Edwin Herrera. The jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.
Calderon, a registered gang member, shot Herrera in the neck as he moved his car to avoid a parking ticket. Police linked the shotgun used to DNA evidence from the crime scene.
