The bridge will be the largest wildlife crossing, designed to save mountain lions threatened by highway collisions. Over 500 lions killed in 8 years.
Half of the $92 million needed for the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing comes from donors. Closure expected for 30-45 days in total, with nightly lane closures.
