California Gov. Gavin Newsom is working on emergency legislation to allow doctors from Arizona to provide abortions in California, in response to Arizona's restrictive abortion law from the 1860s.
Newsom's administration is coordinating with Arizona officials to expedite access for Arizona abortion providers to offer care in California for those affected by the restrictive laws in Arizona.
