California Forever, backed by tech billionaires, unveiled plans for a new public lagoon in Solano County, part of a larger proposal including a sports complex, housing, schools, and restaurants.
The lagoon, developed by Crystal Lagoon, will cover 7 acres and cater to 5,000 visitors daily, surrounded by dining and entertainment spaces with a focus on public accessibility, albeit with an entry fee.
To address concerns about water usage in a drought-prone area, the developers claim the lagoon will use significantly less water than a typical golf course, with an analysis conducted by water experts to support their assertion.
