A New U.S. Mountain Is Joining the Ikon Pass Just in Time for the 2024 Ski Season
Briefly

"We are excited to expand Ikon Pass access in California by offering even more in the Tahoe area," Erik Forsell, the chief marketing officer at the Alterra Mountain Company, said in a statement shared with T+L. "Sierra-at-Tahoe is an ideal fit for the Ikon Pass community with its big snow and welcoming vibe. Now, Ikon Pass holders have access to both sides of Lake Tahoe with Sierra-at-Tahoe and Palisades Tahoe."
Sierra at Tahoe features 2,000 acres of skiing and riding with a vertical rise of more than 2,200 feet, according to the mountain. There are a total of 48 trails, and 75 percent of the terrain is dedicated for beginners and intermediates. In addition, there are five different gates from which advanced skiers can access the Huckleberry Canyon backcountry, and the mountain boasts an average of more than 400 inches of snowfall every year.
Ikon Pass holders will have access to seven days at the mountain with no blackout dates, while Ikon Base Pass holders will have access to five days with select blackout dates. Sierra at Tahoe will also be available on the Ikon Session Pass.
