
"On Feb. 6, Northstar California Resort's ski patrol responded to a skiing accident on the Martis trail run. The advanced run on the backside of the mountain feeds into the Martis Camp Lodge, a members-only access point at the resort. Truckee Fire was dispatched to the area and found CPR in progress, with the patient being transferred to an ambulance pickup point, Truckee Fire Protection District spokesperson Ryan Ochoa said. Crews also attempted to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene."
"The Placer County Sheriff's Office has identified the man as Nicholas Kenworthy of Los Angeles, according to the Sierra Sun. SFGATE's calls to the sheriff's office went answered. "Northstar California Resort, Northstar Ski Patrol, and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest's family, loved ones, and friends," Tara Schoedinger, Northstar vice president and general manager, told SFGATE in an email."
