
"WATSONVILLE Watsonville police arrested a pair of juveniles following an operation Tuesday in connection with an attempted murder in January. On Jan. 19, officers responded to reports of shots fired on the 1500 block of Freedom Boulevard, according to Watsonville Police Department social media posts from that time. While officers found evidence of a shooting at the scene, they did not locate any victims or suspects."
"Later that evening, officers were advised that a 17-year-old had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Michelle Pulido, a spokesperson for the Watsonville Police Department, confirmed Wednesday that the victim has since been released from the hospital and recovered. On Tuesday, Watsonville police detectives served several search warrants in connection to the shooting, primarily on the 100 block of Ginos Court and the 100 block of Arthur Road."

Detectives served several search warrants in connection to the shooting, primarily on the 100 block of Ginos Court and the 100 block of Arthur Road, and executed warrants in Prunedale and Marina with assistance from local partners. Two 17-year-olds were taken into custody, a gun was recovered, and both were booked into Santa Cruz County Juvenile Hall. One faces attempted homicide charges; the other faces firearm-related charges.
