Oracle and Microsoft roll out Azure database services
Briefly

Oracle and Microsoft are expanding their collaboration, introducing Oracle Database services on Microsoft Azure. This includes Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition 2 versions for versions 19c and 23ai on virtual machines. The automation of database lifecycle management will streamline operations, facilitate low-code development, and adapt to variable workloads with a cost-effective pay-as-you-go model. Existing Oracle customers can also leverage their licenses, presenting a flexible and manageable option within Azure's cloud ecosystem, further enhancing the reach of Oracle's high-end services to a broader audience.
This expansion includes automated database lifecycle management, allowing reduced administration and low-code application development for faster deployment, with pay-as-you-go pricing for flexible workloads.
With Exascale infrastructure, organizations only pay for the compute and storage resources used, starting with a low, highly affordable minimum size within Azure's trusted cloud ecosystem.
