"Data centers power our day-to-day lives and boost innovation in growing sectors like AI. This is why only last month, I took steps to class UK data centers as Critical National Infrastructure," said Kyle.
"CloudHQ is planning a new £1.9 billion data center campus in Didcot, Oxfordshire that's expected to create 1,500 jobs during construction, and 100 permanent jobs once it's fully operational."
