The former banker has been working with xAI for several weeks and was only recently appointed as CFO, the FT added."

Armstrong had been working with xAI for several weeks prior to his recent appointment. xAI had been without a CFO since Mike Liberatore left in July. Several high-profile executives have departed recently, including general counsel Robert Keele, senior lawyer Raghu Rao, co-founder Igor Babuschkin, and former X CEO Linda Yaccarino. Mahmoud Reza Banki is leaving as X's current CFO. xAI did not immediately return a request for comment.
