Tesla's ad spend on X has shrunk to almost nothing | TechCrunch
"But the automaker appears to be on track to spend just a fraction of that in 2025 as sales have struggled. In the first two months of 2025, Tesla spent $10,000 on X ads, putting it on track to spend only $60,000 annually. During the same time period last year, it had already spent $200,000 on X, Tesla disclosed. Tesla's spending slowed considerably after those first two months, paying another $200,000 across the remainder of 2024."

Tesla spent $400,000 advertising on Elon Musk's social media platform X in 2024 but has spent only $10,000 on X ads in the first two months of 2025, projecting about $60,000 annually if spending remains unchanged. Tesla had spent $200,000 on X in the same period last year and paid another $200,000 later in 2024. Google Ads still shows roughly 700 active Tesla advertisements across Google properties. Tesla paid SpaceX about $800,000 in 2024 for jet use and roughly $40,000 through February 2025. Tesla paid a Musk-owned security company $2.8 million in 2024 and $500,000 through February 2025.
