Job listings in large central metro areas decreased to 38% from 46% before the pandemic. Smaller metros saw an increase in job openings, reflecting a shift in employment geography.
The study also noted changes in the types of jobs being advertised. Share of computer and math-related jobs dropped to 6.8% from 10.5%, while health care job listings increased to 18.6% from 14.7%.
