More than 500 of Morgan Stanley's 2025 North American summer intern class weighed in with their hot takes on everything from their favorite water bottle brands to shoe preferences and exercise methods. The results reveal trends among today's young professionals in general, but also give a rare peek into Wall Street intern preferences."

More than 500 Morgan Stanley 2025 North American summer interns completed a preferences survey covering water bottles, shoes, handbags, and exercise methods. About 70% of respondents were 21 or younger. Newer brands such as Hoka and Aritzia have risen in popularity among this cohort. Nearly 40% of interns reported no loyalty to any handbag brand, while Longchamp (13%) and Coach (15%) were the leading named brands. Luxury brands and loud logos have declined in appeal. The firm's equity research team has tracked these interns' perspectives over seven years to monitor trends.
