"The company, its parent, and its subsidiaries have filed for bankruptcy in the Delaware Bankruptcy Court, raising questions about the fate of ongoing projects and outstanding orders."
"WCVB reported that the letter did not state a reason for the business's closure and that the company would cut off all health insurance benefits by the end of October."
""We are deeply saddened by the recent closure of the company and the profound impact it has had on our valued employees, customers, and the New England community that supported us for decades," wrote Cogliani in a LinkedIn post last week."
Newpro abruptly closed on Oct. 28 and ceased business operations effective Oct. 29, according to a termination email shared by an employee. The company, its parent, and multiple subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy in Delaware, affecting more than ten subsidiaries of Renovo Home Partners and impacting customers and employees nationwide. The closure notice provided no reason and announced termination of employment and the end of health insurance benefits by the end of October. Newpro offered window, door, siding, roof replacements, and quick-turnaround bath remodels and had operated since 1945. Third-generation owner Nick Cogliani continued as president until five months before the closure and said the family did not retain ownership after the 2022 sale; he had previously praised the acquisition's growth potential and economies of scale as beneficial to employees.
