
"The popular Massachusetts-based supermarket chain Big Y is expanding the brand with four new locations statewide. The chain announced earlier this month that two new stores are coming to eastern Massachusetts next year, it said in a press release. One will open in Pembroke at 24 Mattakeesett St., replacing a Stop & Shop, and another will open in Saugus at 357 Broadway, replacing an Amazon Fresh store. Both locations are expected to be open in spring to summer of 2026, according to the release."

Michael D'Amour, Big Y's president and CEO, described the openings as a significant milestone in expansion. Hiring and grand-opening details will be released in coming months.
