The Center for Brooklyn History is marking the 100th anniversary of the Brooklyn Chapter of the NAACP with a look at the important role the borough's Black churches have played in the struggle for racial justice.The free virtual program, "Partners in the Struggle: Brooklyn NAACP and the Black Church," will include a conversation between Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA) CEO and Executive Director Jennifer Jones Austin, President of Auburn Theological Seminary and pastor at the Concord Baptist Church of Christ Reverend Dr. Emma Jordan-Simpson and historians and authors Brian Purnell and Clarence Taylor.
