The Nets added more depth at guard by signing former lottery pick Killian Hayes to a one-year, Exhibit 10 contract, a league source confirmed. Hayes will get the chance to compete for a roster spot during training camp after spending his first four seasons with the Pistons.
At 6-foot-5, Hayes earned praise for his playmaking and defense, yet struggled as a shooter. He's shot just 38.2% overall in his career and 27.7% on three-pointers.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary deal that's an invitation to training camp. It can be converted into a standard two-way contract before the start of the season.
