Nets' Cam Thomas opens up about season-ending hamstring injury, impending free agency
Briefly

Cam Thomas, the Brooklyn Nets guard, clarified that he sustained his season-ending left hamstring strain before his final shot attempt against the Chicago Bulls. This injury was different, as he relates it more intensely with an urge to recover and return stronger next season. Despite playing only 25 games this season due to injuries, Thomas achieved career highs in points, rebounds, and assists. He expressed pride in his performance, feeling competitive and determined to build on this progress as he heads into restricted free agency this summer.
Definitely felt it this time, as soon as it happened, I was just like, man, something happened. Definitely want to come back next year, stronger, and hungrier.
Obviously, as a competitor, I would love to be out there playing with my guys, and still trying to finish this season off strong, but at the end of the day [the Nets are] looking at what's best for me.
When I'm out there playing, just being able to play some of the best basketball I played in my career up to date. Definitely proud of how I played in the games I was in.
I think it was like career-highs across the board, so I think it's definitely good for me to build on that and look at what I can do better.
