"A woman was shot and seriously injured inside a Prospect Heights apartment building on Tuesday morning. Law enforcement sources said the shooting happened just after 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 26 on St. John's Place near Washington Avenue. Officers from the 77th Precinct, in responding to a 911 call about the shooting, found the victim, a 49-year-old woman, with multiple gunshot wounds to her leg and arm."
