Woman charged in Brooklyn fatal stabbing was romantically linked to victim: NYPD
""He just had a grandchild. A baby boy. He's newborn," Saunders said. "He wanted to buy him things, but now he'll never get the chance.""
""He's a sweet guy," she said of Brewer, who worked a security job. "Whoever did this needs to get what they deserve.""
"'He used to tell us about people around him getting killed and stuff,' she said, 'and we used to tell him to be safe. 'And he used to tell us, 'No I don't be out like that - I go to work and back home.'"
NYPD detectives arrested Aiesha Walker, 48, and charged her with manslaughter and weapons possession in the fatal stabbing of 47-year-old Kenneth Brewer. The stabbing occurred around 7:50 p.m. inside Walker's Rockaway Parkway apartment near Winthrop Street; medics rushed Brewer to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said Brewer and Walker were romantically involved and investigators have not yet determined a motive. Authorities were reported to be seeking a man and a woman in connection with the slaying. Walker had two prior arrests last year tied to domestic violence. Brewer worked a security job and had a newborn grandchild.
