Teen killed in East New York shooting near school

On Saturday night, 18-year-old Zanir Childs was fatally shot in the torso during a shooting incident across from P.S. 36 in East New York. Childs, who was a resident of Boulevard Houses, succumbed to his injuries at Kings County Hospital. An unidentified 18-year-old woman sustained an arm injury but is reportedly in stable condition at Brookdale University Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and witnessing youths fleeing the scene immediately after the incident.
