Cie La Calebasse is renowned for its captivating performances that blend traditional African dance with contemporary flair, presenting pieces such as Mangambeu, Ambas-Bay, Bikutsi, and Bend Skin.
The DanceAfrica Festival, BAM's longest-running program and the nation's largest festival of African dance, sparks community and cultural events across Brooklyn, partnering with key local institutions like The Billie Holiday Theatre, Mark Morris Dance Center, and MoCADA.
