
"BROOKLYN, NY - A suspect has been charged in connection with a deadly beating inside the Jay Street-MetroTech subway station in downtown Brooklyn on Tuesday, police said. David Mazariegos, 25, of the Bronx, has been charged with two counts of murder, robbery and grand larceny. He is accused of fatally beating Nicola Tanzi, 64, to death. The victim was unconscious and unresponsive at the scene and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but later died, authorities said."
"The 25-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday and was allegedly found carrying a samurai sword and the victim's credit cards. Mazariegos is accused of stomping on the victim's face up to 15 times, police said."
