The Trana Relief Association is organizing a toy drive to bring holiday cheer to displaced Ukrainian children in New York and New Jersey, collecting new, unwrapped toys.
This initiative, titled 'Toys 4 Children of Ukraine,' aims to distribute gifts at holiday parties across Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey to support Ukrainian refugees.
'Unfortunately, not every parent is in the financial position to buy their children presents for the holidays, and this is especially true for Ukrainian refugees,' said Assembly Member Novakhov.
Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay, with large Ukrainian populations, are crucial locations for the drive, with donation boxes set up at local community centers and businesses.
