"BOROUGH PARK - A FIREFIGHTER AND SEVERAL RESIDENTS WERE INJURED IN AN EARLY-MORNING FIRE IN BOROUGH PARK on Wednesday, Jan. 28, according to the FDNY. The blaze, which broke out at 6201 13th Ave., around 9 a.m., injured at least seven people, including a firefighter and a 54-year-old woman reported to be in critical condition after she was found unconscious, FDNY and NYPD sources told News 12 Brooklyn ."
"Also responding to the resident victims' needs was Councilmember Susan Zhuang's office. Her office reported that 79 emergency responders were deployed, plus 47th Assembly District Leader Dr. Larry He, and 49th Assembly District Leader Joyce Xie, who assessed the building damage, remained on the scene for hours and translated between the emergency responders and the fire victims."
"According to a statement that Zhuang released, her team is in the process of contacting the family of the woman in critical condition. Her district office is also working closely with the FDNY to establish a fire-safety awareness campaign.
