Scholars vs. Collars game highlights Catholic Schools Night at Maimonides Park

On June 25, Catholic Schools Night was celebrated at Maimonides Park with an event featuring the Brooklyn Cyclones. Clergy, teachers, and students took part in the festivities, including a softball game where teachers (Scholars) triumphed over clergy (Collars) with a score of 4-2. The event also recognized the academic achievements of 8th-grade graduates, with honors presented by Bishop Robert Brennan and school administrators. Students from St. Kevin Catholic Academy contributed to the evening by performing the National Anthem, embodying the spirit of community and celebration.
Prior to the Cyclones, the Collars vs. Scholars had the field for their own softball game, with the Scholars defeating the Collars by a score of 4-2.
Before the game, Bishop Robert Brennan, Diocesan Schools Superintendent Deacon Kevin McCormack, and Deputy Superintendent Joan McMaster presented honors and congratulated their 8th-grade graduates.
Catholic Schools Night celebrated both sports and academic achievements, highlighting the connection between education and community involvement.
