The 'Battle for Brooklyn' charity softball game returns to Maimonides Park, organized by Dolores Catania. This annual event supports the Maimonides Breast Center. Catania's involvement began after a 'Pink Runway' event, where breast cancer patients shared their experiences. Inspired, she gathered Bravo TV personalities to play alongside Maimonides staff. Catania shared that after hosting a 'Pink Runway' event, she realized the struggles of breast cancer patients, leading her to start the 'Battle for Brooklyn'."
She mentioned, "After speaking to the patients there, I found all the women who had been through hell. While they had different stories, they all loved Maimonides."
During the event, the Maimonides All-Stars team, consisting of physicians and staff, play against Bravo TV personalities, creating a festive and uplifting atmosphere."
Catania expressed, "It's a really feel-good event. We raise a lot of money and the energy in the stands is incredible, everyone smiles and celebrates together."
