
"A suspected random serial slasher who cuts men on the left side of their face is on the loose in Brooklyn, law-enforcement sources said Sunday. The suspect launched three bloody attacks over the weekend, beginning around 6:30 a.m. Saturday on a northbound Q train at the Church Avenue subway station, when a 37-year-old straphanger was slashed in the left side of his face, sources said."
"Cops responded to a 911 call at the scene and rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to police. Then at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, the same fiend apparently struck again, attacking a 53-year-old man at the intersection of Foster Avenue and New York Avenue - again leaving the victim with a slash to the left side of his face, sources said. He was also taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, sources said."
A suspected assailant carried out three attacks in Brooklyn over a weekend, targeting men and slashing the left side of their faces. The first occurred around 6:30 a.m. Saturday on a northbound Q train at Church Avenue, wounding a 37-year-old taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. The second occurred at 9:40 p.m. Saturday at Foster and New York Avenues, wounding a 53-year-old who was hospitalized in stable condition. The third happened shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday in front of 3311 Newkirk Ave., wounding a 56-year-old also hospitalized in stable condition. Police are investigating; no arrests have been made and a preliminary probe suggests the same suspect.
