The June 25 Democratic primaries in Brooklyn ended with incumbents winning easily in every challenged district. Turnout was low, with only a few races contested. All Republican races were canceled.
In NY-10, incumbent Dan Goldman secured the Democratic nomination with over 65% of votes, setting up a battle against Republican Alexander Dodenhoff and Conservative Paul Briscoe in November.
In AD41, Council Member Kalman Yeger clinched the Democratic nomination in the absence of an incumbent after Helene Weinstein's retirement. Yeger also ran on the Republican and Conservative party lines.
Incumbent Emily Gallagher emerged victorious in AD50 against challenger Anathea Simpkins, capturing 75.38% of the votes in a heavily contested Democratic primary.
