PREMIUMNext Stop, City Point: Brooklyn photographer to display work in upcoming exhibition
Briefly

Tyler Jordan's exhibition, "The Spread the Love Project," at City Point showcases his unique perspective on New York's subway system. A former MTA worker, Jordan spent years underground, finding inspiration in the trains he operated. His photography seeks to document the energy of the city, highlighting the beauty of movement rather than focusing on commuters or stations. Grounded in nostalgia and a love letter to Brooklyn, Jordan aims to share the stories embedded in the subway’s action, transforming everyday routines into an artistic expression of life in New York.
"I just like being able to capture memories," Jordan said. "I thought it was really cool to be able to translate stories based on what the photographer's perspective was."
"The subway is the one artery in New York that connects everything and everyone together," Jordan said. "Regardless of what's happening, one thing that stays constant is the evolution of our transportation."
