The Billion Oyster Party celebrated a decade of restoring oyster reefs, aimed at achieving one billion oysters in New York Harbor by 2035 through community engagement.
We bring board members, community members, volunteers, partners and public support to celebrate our restoration efforts and public education initiatives about oysters.
The goal is to leave attendees feeling hopeful about large-scale restorations and increased waterfront access for the community.
So far, we have restored over 120 million oysters to the estuary, learning continuously on effective restoration methods.
