Maikel Martinez, 28, of Brooklyn, staged a motor vehicle accident and has been charged with insurance fraud related to the incident that went viral.
Police released dashcam footage showing Martinez aggressively reversing his silver Honda into another vehicle, which triggered the investigation into the staged accident.
Authorities are actively searching for three passengers who were in Martinez's vehicle, identified as having feigned injuries during the purported accident for insurance claims.
