Devonte Brown, 30, is accused of sexually abusing four girls aged 5 to 9 at a Bushwick day care and once at Brooklyn Bridge Park between April 1, 2024 and August 22, 2025. He allegedly touched the girls' intimate body parts with both hands over and under their clothing on multiple occasions inside the center and at Pier 6. He allegedly intimidated at least one victim by threatening that a favorite teacher would be fired if she told an adult. The children told their parents in August and September 2025, and adults reported the allegations to law enforcement. Police are investigating and seeking additional potential victims. A former education director resigned after concerns about Brown were not taken seriously.
