"a little overdue for a refresh."
"The Park Slope bookstore has undergone a total renovation and [restored] the building to its proper glory,"
"It is very good news to secure the future of this wonderful bookstore."
"The store is transformed and I am especially pleased with the huge new kids department we have created,"
Barnes & Noble’s Park Slope store reopened on Nov. 12 after a four-month renovation that began in July, with employees cutting the ribbon alongside local author Ann Napolitano. The 23,500-square-foot location originally opened in 1997 and received an interior redesign that retains its green ceiling lights and large columns while modernizing the café. The children’s area was completely renovated and expanded to include more books, games and toys. Corporate leadership framed the work as restoring the building and securing the store’s future. Barnes & Noble has experienced a resurgence, opening more new stores in 2024 and performing strongly in New York City.
