NYC to mark 9/11 anniversary with vigils, memorials and more

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum's annual ceremony will take place at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza starting at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and will include readings of victims' names as well as moments of silence honoring the events of the attacks.
At 2:30 p.m., attendees of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum's commemoration will observe a moment of silence for those afflicted with 9/11-related illnesses, showcasing the ongoing impact of the tragedy.
The Tribute in Light, a public art installation with two beams of blue light, commemorates the lives lost in the 9/11 attacks and can be seen from a wide area, maximizing its visibility and impact.
Both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are expected to attend the 9/11 Memorial ceremony, underlining the significance of the day and the continuous recognition of its importance in American history.
