The 9/11 Memorial & Museum in Lower Manhattan will receive $500,000 to support programs that chronicle the events of September 11, 2001, enhancing its educational efforts.
Gov. Kathy Hochul made the funding announcement during a commemoration event, highlighting the museum's role in preserving and educating about the tragic history of 9/11.
The funds will assist the Museum's operating expenses, which is crucial for continuing its educational programs on both the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 bombing.
In a gesture of remembrance, Hochul ordered the illumination of 15 state landmarks in blue, including the One World Trade Center, symbolizing solidarity and reflection.
