"We're proud to help New Yorkers kickstart their resolutions with affordable recreation center memberships citywide," NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue said on Jan. 3 through a press release. "At NYC Parks, we're dedicated to making fitness and recreation accessible for everyone. With memberships starting at just $25 annually for seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities-and free for kids and young adults under 24-our centers provide incredible value and a welcoming space for all."
NYC Parks' recreation centers cater to all ages and fitness levels with activities ranging from group classes like yoga, Zumba, and spinning to sports programs such as basketball and swimming. Additional offerings include arts and crafts, dance classes, and community events.
The initiative supports New Year's resolutions to stay fit while fostering community engagement across the city's five boroughs, providing various programs that encourage both health and social interaction.
