MTA Expands Service on 4 Busy Brooklyn Bus Lines
Briefly

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has announced an increase in bus service on 14 local lines in Brooklyn. This change is expected to reduce passenger wait times by up to two and a half minutes on certain trips. In addition to improving customer experience during peak hours, the enhancements will lessen crowding on some of the busiest routes. Specific routes benefiting from the service improvements include B17, B26, B74, and B103, aimed at providing a better commuting experience for riders.
"Increasing bus service on some of the city's busiest routes is a no-brainer," said MTA Chair and Chief Executive Officer Janno Lieber. "These latest enhancements, along with the comprehensive bus network redesigns we're knocking out borough by borough, are changing the game for the million-plus New Yorkers who ride with us every day."
The improvements should cut wait times, shortening commutes and easing crowding during peak hours. Riders on these routes can expect reduced waits by up to two and a half minutes on certain trips, the MTA said.
