The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has launched a renovation project at three Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line stations in the Bronx—Williams Bridge, Woodlawn, and Botanical Garden. The initiative includes the installation of new elevators, upgraded platforms with snow-melting systems, and ADA-compliant features to enhance accessibility. The Botanical Garden station, dating back to the 1890s, will also see updated structural elements and historical restorations. This project aims to elevate service quality for the thousands of daily commuters relying on these transit hubs for access to Manhattan and Westchester County.
Both Williams Bridge and Woodlawn stations will receive four new elevators each, along with significant structural upgrades to improve accessibility and service quality.
The Bronx relies on Woodlawn, Williams Bridge, and Botanical Garden stations for fast, reliable connections to Manhattan and Westchester, emphasizing their critical role.
