The ship lost power as it neared the bridge, leading to a collision that resulted in the snapping of its masts. Witnesses reported the incident as horrifying, noting crew members left in precarious positions. New York City officials, including Mayor Eric Adams, expressed concerns for the victims, while officials confirmed no structural damage was done to the bridge, which reopened shortly after the accident.
We are praying for everyone on board and their families and are grateful to our first responders who quickly jumped into action, ensuring this accident wasn't much worse.
