According to police, the owner of Jide's Dandy on Jay Street was praying outside his store at around 5:40 p.m. when he was sucker-punched in the back of the head.
As of Feb. 25, there were 33 reported robberies in the precinct year-to-date - up almost 154% from just 13 during the same time frame in 2023.
