A man's body was discovered on the rocky shoreline of Calvert Vaux Park in Brooklyn. Authorities received a 911 call reporting the body near Bay 44th Street and Shore Parkway around 9:30 a.m. Emergency Medical Services found the man unresponsive, and there were no visible signs of trauma. The cause of death will be determined by the Office of the City Medical Examiner. Earlier in the month, another body was found floating in the water off Red Hook, and eight bodies were reported in Jamaica Bay in 2024.
