The city is intensifying its measures against disease-carrying mosquitoes by scheduling adulticide treatments in Manhattan and Brooklyn next week to combat the risk of West Nile virus.
In an effort to mitigate the spread of West Nile virus, the Health Department will spray in specific sections of Manhattan on August 26, and Brooklyn on August 28.
Spraying will be conducted during late-night hours from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, ensuring impact while minimizing disturbance to residents.
This initiative highlights the ongoing commitment of the city’s Health Department to protect public health through proactive measures against mosquito-borne diseases.
