Knife-Wielding Trio Hits Brooklyn Spas In 15-Minute Heist Spree
"Three people pulled a knife, kicked in a door and grabbed roughly $500 in cash. A 47-year-old employee hurt her ankle while fleeing the chaos, but the injury was minor. About 15 minutes later, officers believe the same crew struck again at a spa on East 15th Street in Sheepshead Bay. This time, police say the suspects damaged a door and a wall and made off with about $200 before taking off."
"Surveillance stills show all three in hoodies, with one person casually using a cellphone even as the group moved through the business, according to News 12 Brooklyn. The NYPD is asking anyone who recognizes the people in the photos to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit an anonymous tip online."
"Officers are also urging neighbors to scroll back through any recent door‑cam, lobby camera or cellphone footage for clips that might show the suspects before or after the robberies. Even a few seconds of video can end up being the missing puzzle piece in a case like this, police say."
Three suspects armed with a knife committed back-to-back robberies at spas in Gravesend and Sheepshead Bay on Wednesday afternoon. The first robbery occurred around 4:25 p.m. at a spa on Kings Highway in Gravesend, where the suspects kicked in a door and stole roughly $500 in cash. A 47-year-old employee sustained a minor ankle injury while escaping. Approximately 15 minutes later, the same group allegedly struck a spa on East 15th Street in Sheepshead Bay, damaging property and taking about $200. Surveillance footage shows all three suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts, with one casually using a cellphone during the robbery. The NYPD released surveillance photos and is requesting public assistance through Crime Stoppers and encouraging neighbors to submit any relevant video footage.
